Caborn marathon winner

David Caborn (Greenville) on Saturday became the first Scotsman to win the Grandfather Mountain Marathon which is held in conjunction with the Scottish Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain, N.C.

Caborn also had the fastest time in seven years, covering the 26-mile, 385-yard course in two hours, fifty-four minutes and fifty-five seconds. The Grandfather Mountain course is considered one of the most difficult courses in the country.
